McDonald’s CEO Chris Kempczinski revealed he’s been using Google’s Gemini AI to brainstorm fresh, limited-time menu ideas for customers in the US.
Chris Kempczinski, CEO of McDonald’s, unintentionally started a social media trend—dubbed the “burger battle”—after publicly trying a competitor’s burger. In a promotional video from March 3rd, he cautiously tasted the Big Arch Burger and described it as “delicious,” which quickly went viral.
Chris Kempczinski is getting a lot of attention online after sharing a video on Instagram from February 19th. In the video, the McDonald’s CEO explained that he’s using artificial intelligence to help brainstorm new menu items.

I asked Gemini to analyze current global food trends and the McDonald’s menu. Then, I requested a couple of innovative, limited-time menu ideas specifically for McDonald’s restaurants in the US, he explained.
The AI suggested two concepts that Chris Kempczinski thought were great: McRib Nuggets and Korean-style dipping sauces.

McDonald’s CEO shared that he’s suggested incorporating ideas inspired by artificial intelligence into the menu, but it’s up to the menu team whether or not they’ll actually use them.
The video of potential new McDonald’s items is getting a lot of attention from food lovers on Instagram and X. Many are enthusiastic about the idea of McRib-flavored nuggets and Korean sauces, with one commenter saying they’re definitely interested.
“Hear me out… Korean BBQ sauce Filet-O-Fish,” another suggested.
Honestly, I’m not surprised everyone’s going crazy for the McRib nuggets! It always happens – people get so hyped whenever McDonald’s brings it back. It’s a big deal every single time!
Kempczinski presented these items as temporary offerings in the US, but it’s obvious people are interested in them. Whether they become permanent menu additions remains to be seen.
