While exploring the school in Silent Hill f, you’ll need to open a locker to progress. You’ll discover there are actually three lockers in the two rooms on the ground floor. One contains a crucial item for the story, while the other two are optional. It’s worth opening all three, though, because doing so will give you more space in your inventory.
Below, we’ll fill you in on how to open every school locker in Silent Hill f.
How to open all of the school lockers in Silent Hill f
Students at the school have developed a secret code using letters and numbers, and surprisingly, it’s connected to their locker combinations! You can find clues around the school to help you understand how the code works. Essentially, the code gives numbers to certain letters, and any letters in a name without a number are simply left out.
We played the game on Story and Hard, and these are the letter-to-number codes used:
- A = 4
- B = 8
- E = 3
- I = 1
- O = 0
- S = 5
- T = 7
- U = 6

Looking at the example in the journal, you’ll see the name “KEIKO.” Since the letter ‘K’ doesn’t have a number, you ignore it and only use the letters that *do* have numbers – E, I, and O. This gives you the combination 310.
With that out of the way, let’s get those lockers open.
Aoi Takeshi
Okay, so figuring out Aoi Takeshi’s locker was actually pretty simple! His first name is just ‘Aoi,’ which is only three letters long. When I used the secret code key, those three letters lined up perfectly, and it turns out his locker combination is 401. I was so excited when I cracked it!
You’ll find a folded paper called the Origami of Grievances inside Aoi Takeshi’s locker. It contains hints that will help you figure out the combination to another locker.
Asakura Ayumi
Asakura Ayumi’s locker combination changes depending on how difficult the game is set. If you’re playing on Story or Hard mode, your in-game journal will tell you whether she prefers “SEA” or “BUS”. This preference is the key to her locker combination: it’s 534 if she likes “SEA”, or 865 if she likes “BUS”.
Inside Asakura Ayumi’s locker is the Key Cabinet Key, which is required for story progression.
Tsuchiya Taiko
You’ll discover Tsuchiya Taiko’s locker combination by talking to someone who wants it broken into. They’ll tell you the code, which is 377, and you can write it down in your journal.
You’ll find the Wolf Omamori in TT’s locker. Wearing it boosts your weapon damage, but only when you’re using weapons that are very durable.
Suga Yosie
The note found in Aoi Takeshi’s locker – the ‘Origami of Grievances’ – suggests Suga Yosie’s locker combination is actually a hidden message. It says the combination, when deciphered, spells out “SOS”, a well-known distress signal. Using the secret code to translate it, we’ve determined the locker combination is 505.
Inside Suga Yosie’s locker is the School Bag, which increases your inventory capacity by one slot.
