Overwatch x Nier Automata collab: Release date, skins, more

Overwatch is set to bring new skins to the game as part of a crossover with Nier Automata.

Many Overwatch fans were surprised when early images of a possible collaboration with NieR: Automata began appearing online.

Blizzard often asks players about their favorite character skins, but many were surprised by this latest collaboration announcement, especially so soon after the Hello Kitty event ended.

The rumors were true! Five heroes are getting brand new skins. Here’s a breakdown of what’s coming and when you can expect them to be released.

Overwatch x Nier Automata crossover release date

The Overwatch and Nier Automata crossover will be released on March 10, 2026.

Blizzard announced this date on X (formerly Twitter). Therefore, the new skins should become available in the in-game shop immediately when the update releases.

All Project YorHa skins

Five heroes are receiving new skins inspired by the game Nier Automata. The developers have shared early concept art, but we haven’t seen how the skins will look in-game yet.

From this, the skin line up can be seen as follows:

  • Kiriko as 2B
  • Vendetta as A2
  • Wuyang as 9S
  • Mercy as Commander White
  • Lifeweaver as Adam

This is the first time Vendetta, one of our newer damage-dealing heroes, is getting a skin from another game. It’s a special event, as he hasn’t had a crossover skin before.

Honestly, I’m expecting a special in-game event to go along with this collaboration, kind of like what they did with LE SSERAFIM, Cowboy Bebop, and a bunch of other crossovers. But just so you know, this is just a prediction right now, so don’t take it as confirmed!

As of right now, the price of these skins hasn’t been announced yet. Blizzard usually reveals pricing details closer to the release date, and we’ll update this information as soon as it’s available.
