Today’s State of Play presentation featured a new trailer for Housemarque’s upcoming game, Saros. The trailer revealed the game will launch on March 20, 2026, and gave players their first glimpse of gameplay. Saros stars Arjun Devraj, voiced by Rahul Kohli (known for his role in Midnight Mass), and the game’s unique mechanic allows players to learn from each death, making the character stronger.
Saros is heavily inspired by Housemarque’s game, Returnal. Like Returnal, it’s a fast-paced roguelite set on the dangerous planet Carcosa, where Devraj is trying to uncover a mystery. He’ll face terrifying creatures who want to kill him, and they often do. However, death isn’t a permanent setback for Devraj; he’ll find ways to continue his journey.
Unlike Returnal, Saros will feature permanent upgrades and resources that carry over even after you die. Housemarque explains that players will be able to unlock and permanently improve their weapons and suit, helping them tackle the difficult challenges on the planet Carocosa.
Saros will be released on March 20, 2026 for PS5.
