It’s been four years since Chris Pratt, known for his roles in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Jurassic World, starred in the action thriller series The Terminal List on Amazon Prime Video. Although a spin-off called The Terminal List: Dark Wolf has been released, updates on Season 2 of The Terminal List have been surprisingly hard to find – until now.
Originally released in 2022, The Terminal List is a series based on Jack Carr’s 2018 novel. It stars Chris Pratt as James Reece, a Navy SEAL who returns home and starts to doubt his recollections of a deadly ambush during a secret operation. The show proved quite controversial upon its release, receiving very different reactions from critics (a 40% score) and viewers (a 94% score). Carr, who also wrote the book, previously suggested this division stemmed from the show’s avoidance of politically charged content.

Prime Video
Jack Carr, the author and creator of The Terminal List, has announced that filming for Season 2 is complete! He shared the news on social media with a video showing Chris Pratt holding the clapperboard and performing action scenes. The new season will be based on Carr’s second book, True Believer. Carr added a caption to the video confirming the wrap.
We’re finishing up the final episode, and it’s amazing! We’re so excited for everyone to see it – the whole team did an incredible job!
I hope all episodes drop at once so you can binge it like a blockbuster!
If new episodes are released each week, would you wait until all eight are available before starting to watch? And did you wait to watch all of DARK WOLF at once, or did you watch it as episodes came out?
Before the release of TRUE BELIEVER, I’m planning to watch DARK WOLF and then THE TERMINAL LIST to follow the story in order. Let’s do this!
The new footage features Chris Pratt in action, showing him running and fighting, and also gives fans a first glimpse of returning characters Luke Hemsworth and Tom Hopper. Both actors first appeared in the prequel series, The Terminal List: Dark Wolf, last year.
Considering when filming finished, the second season of The Terminal List might arrive in 2026. With Carr involved and the return of Hemsworth and Hopper, it’s a good idea to watch or rewatch The Terminal List: Dark Wolf, as it will likely connect to the events of the new season.
Details about what will happen in Season 2 of The Terminal List are still secret, but the book it’s based on, True Believer, offers some hints. The story begins with a series of terrible terrorist attacks happening around the holidays. The U.S. government then turns to James Reece – a highly valuable asset and wanted fugitive – for help. After getting revenge for the loss of his family and team, Reece reluctantly works with the government, traveling the world to eliminate terrorist leaders. This leads him to uncover a global conspiracy involving a traitor within the CIA and a dangerous plot to assassinate people with consequences felt around the world.
