The latest installment in the horror-comedy series proves that survival games can be both fun and frightening. Ready or Not 2: Here I Come brings back Grace De Lomas (Samara Weaving) and Faith MacCaully (Kathryn Newton) for another dangerous game, and fans are eagerly awaiting its release.
Though we only get a glimpse, the new image from Ready or Not 2: Here I Come confirms the enduring popularity of the “scream queen” in horror. However, the concept of the “final girl” has evolved, now often showing more respect for female characters while still delivering plenty of thrills. Fans are hoping the protagonist will survive the sequel, unless the image hints at her death – something we haven’t seen yet.
Ready Or Not 2: Here I Come’s Co-Directors Shared All About The Sequel On Reddit
During a recent Reddit Q&A, the co-directors of Ready or Not 2: Here I Come, Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, answered fan questions about the upcoming sequel without giving away too much. They explained that finding the right actors wasn’t difficult because everyone involved was eager to participate. According to the directors, the cast essentially volunteered for the project, which made the process surprisingly smooth.
A Reddit user jokingly suggested the title ‘You Can’t Hide?’ for a potential Ready or Not 3, and the game’s creator, Gillett, responded that they might be running out of song lyrics to use for titles if they make another game. While there’s no official announcement of a third Ready or Not game yet, the strong fan interest suggests one could be revealed after the sequel hits theaters.
Searchlight Pictures has revealed the plot for Read or Not 2: Here I Come. In the sequel, Grace, having survived a brutal attack by the Le Domas family, finds herself facing an even more dangerous game. This time, she’s joined by her long-lost sister, Faith. To make it through, Grace must protect Faith and fight for control of the powerful Council, which secretly governs the world. But she’s not alone in the hunt – four other families are also vying for the throne, and the winner will have ultimate power.
Ready or Not 2: Here I Come opens in theaters on March 20, 2026.
