The new, customized layout for the Steam store is now available to everyone, after being tested with a limited group since July 25th. The updated store is cleaner and easier to navigate, with a simplified homepage that makes it simpler to find the genres you enjoy and discover new games.
We’ve updated the search function on Steam with several improvements. The new search panel is more powerful and includes things like trending searches, your recent activity, and the ability to search beyond just games – you can now look for publishers and other content too. The search bar is also now located at the top of the screen and stays there as you navigate Steam, making it always accessible. For a full breakdown of the changes and why we made them, check out the beta announcement on our blog from July.
Steam has given its store menu a makeover to help players find games more easily and enjoy a more personalized experience. The updated design makes browsing and searching simpler, with improved organization and more accessible options on most pages. The search bar now learns from your activity, offering suggestions based on your preferences and recent searches.
The updated design features easier navigation, combined suggestions, and more ways to customize the categories section. Steam is always evolving and experimenting with new ideas. If you’d like to test these changes early and share your thoughts, you can participate in the Steam Client Beta program to help improve the final version.
