The show features Kiefer Sutherland as Thomas Kirkman, the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, who unexpectedly becomes President after a catastrophic attack destroys the Capitol Building during the State of the Union address, leaving him as the sole survivor.

Let me tell you about Designated Survivor. Alongside Kiefer Sutherland, the show boasted a really strong cast – Natascha McElhone, who you might recognize from Californication, Adan Canto, and Italia Ricci of Supergirl fame. It originally aired on ABC back in 2016, but sadly got canceled after just two seasons. Roosevelt in Showtime’s The First Lady, alongside an actress portraying Eleanor Roosevelt. His most recent role was in Paramount+’s spy thriller Rabbit Hole, where he starred as a spy wrongly accused of murder.
