Simpsons Hit & Run developer returns and is looking to remaster classic games

The team that created The Simpsons Hit & Run has updated its look and launched a new website under the name New Radical Entertainment.

The studio revealed the redesigned website in a blog post, explaining that it’s a new beginning built on their history and experience.

Radical Entertainment is famous for creating video games based on popular franchises, such as The Simpsons, The Incredible Hulk, Scarface, and Crash Bandicoot.

As a big fan, I’m always hearing people ask for a remake or remaster of Hit & Run, and it’s awesome to see New Radical is a studio that actually focuses on bringing those kinds of games back to life!

New Radical Entertainment says it specializes in remastering classic games

The studio recently relaunched its website to showcase its fresh creative vision and updated focus.

We’re thrilled to launch the new Radical website! It’s more than just an online space – it’s a place to reconnect with the creativity and collaboration that have always been central to our work. We hope you’ll join us as we explore this new chapter together.

New Radical Games is behind numerous popular licensed titles.

The studio hasn’t revealed any upcoming games or plans to revisit its older titles, but it’s currently looking for new development work and is open to taking on projects.

We have a talented team ready to start working on complete games, metaverse experiences, or real-time visual effects projects right away. We also offer smaller, specialized groups to assist with things like performance improvements, ongoing live operations, and refining game design.

The studio emphasized its skill in remastering games, suggesting they might revisit older, popular titles in the future.

We bring classic games back to life by improving their graphics, sound, and how they play, making them enjoyable for both new and original fans on today’s devices.

Currently, New Radical Entertainment still appears to be part of Activision. Earlier this month, Bluepoint Games – a studio famous for its high-quality remasters – was shut down after their attempt at a live service game based on God of War was cancelled.
