Mark Ruffalo May Have Spoiled Avengers: Doomsday During Infinity War

Talk about a potential Avengers: Doomsday movie is happening again after people started looking back at an old interview with Mark Ruffalo. He made some comments years ago while promoting Avengers: Infinity War, and those comments are now getting attention because of new rumors about the next Marvel film.

Major deaths rumored for Avengers: Doomsday

Reports of significant character deaths in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday movie have been spreading online, starting with a post by insider @MyTimeToShineHello on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.

So, I was chatting with Mark Ruffalo recently, and he made a pretty bold claim about Avengers: Infinity War. He said everyone bites the dust, which, looking back, wasn’t quite right – half the team survived, as we all know. But he was spot on about Avengers: Doomsday. Let me tell you, in that one, everyone really does meet their end.

During a July 2017 interview with Good Morning America at Disney’s D23 Expo, Mark Ruffalo jokingly suggested the next Marvel movie would be particularly deadly for the heroes, initially saying “everybody dies.” He quickly added that wasn’t entirely true, clarifying that not all of the superheroes would meet their end.

Rumors are circulating online about the beginning of the upcoming film, “Avengers Doomsday.” One user, @MyTimeToShineHello, claims that both Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man and Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine die early in the movie. According to this source, Deadpool and Wolverine are sent to Tobey’s Earth with the mission to destroy it, leading to a dramatic fight between Spider-Man and Wolverine that ultimately ends tragically.

A recent livestream on Nerdrotic at Night claimed Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man is killed off by the X-Men from Fox in the new film. However, Alex Perez from The Cosmic Circus disputed this, stating that Maguire’s Spider-Man survives. So far, Marvel Studios hasn’t officially confirmed any details about who lives or dies in the movie.

Anthony and Joe Russo directed Avengers: Doomsday, with a script by Michael Waldron and Stephen McFeely. The film stars Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom, and features a large cast including Chris Hemsworth, Vanessa Kirby, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Letitia Wright, Paul Rudd, Florence Pugh, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, James Marsden, Pedro Pascal, and Chris Evans.

Marvel Studios will release the film in the United States on December 18.
