Wednesday Season 3 Cast Announcement Confirms Winona Ryder

Season 3 is officially in production. With it came the official cast announcement.

The latest installment will feature returning stars like Jenna Ortega in the main role. Excitingly, Winona Ryder, known for her work in ‘Beetlejuice,’ will also be joining the cast as Tabitha, making it a significant reunion.

Following speculation last week, Netflix has now confirmed that the popular horror series will return for another season.

Winona Ryder is moving on to a new popular project after finishing her work on Stranger Things. She’ll be joining the cast of Wednesday, which has been a hit since it came out in 2022. This continues her long-running collaboration with director Tim Burton. Ryder and Burton previously worked together on films like the original Beetlejuice (1988) and its 2024 sequel – also featuring Jenna Ortega – as well as Edward Scissorhands (1990) and Frankenweenie (2012).

Who Stars in Wednesday Season 3?

Ryder is joined by several new cast members, including Chris Sarandon, known for roles in Dog Day Afternoon and The Princess Bride; Noah Taylor, who has appeared in Peaky Blinders and Game of Thrones; Oscar Morgan (A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, Gotham Knights); and Kennedy Moyer (Task, Roofman).

The actors recently announced to play Ophelia, the Addams family’s long-lost sister, are now confirmed.

The minute-long announcement starts with a fun scene of Lurch dancing with a fellow Addams Family member as they get ready for a big meal. Then, it reveals which actors are returning for Season 3, including Jenna Ortega, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, Emma Myers, Hunter Doohan, Eva Green, Billie Piper, Fred Armisen, Isaac Ordonez, Joy Sunday, Victor Dorobantu, Moosa Mostafa, Georgie Farmer, Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo, Evie Templeton, Joanna Lumley, Joonas Suotamo, and Liv Spencer, among others.

A curious detail from the cast announcement is a piece of paper with Enid’s name on it being burned. Given that Season 2 focused on Wednesday’s premonition of Enid’s potential death, this suggests Enid will continue to face danger in the new season.

Wednesday Season 3 doesn’t have a release date but it’s likely to return on Netflix in 2027.
