With plenty of action and suspense, The Night Agent consistently features high stakes and deadly consequences, and season 3 is no different. The Netflix series centers on a complex international conspiracy, meaning someone is always trying to hide something. Combined with the Night Agents’ ability to eliminate threats, the show quickly becomes gripping and intense.

As a huge fan, I have to say, season 3 of The Night Agent really blew me away! Peter Sutherland is digging into some seriously messed up stuff – Jacob Monroe, this shady bank, Raul Zapata, a dangerous terrorist group… and it turns out so many powerful people are involved, even the President! It all created this incredibly intense and shocking season, and honestly, the number of deaths just proved how high the stakes were.

The Passengers On Flight Pima 12

The Night Agent Season 3, Episode 1

Season 3 of The Night Agent begins with a terrorist attack on Flight Pima 12, carrying American passengers. Investigations reveal the LFS, a previously minor terrorist group, was behind the attack. They received significant funding from US companies through Walcott Capital Bank, along with help from arms dealer Raul Zapata, allowing them to grow their operations.

Mike Fonseca

The Night Agent Season 3, Episode 2

Mike Fonseca, a journalist and Isabel De Leon’s partner, was investigating questionable activities by Walcott Capitol and its CEO, Freya Myers. This investigation led to him being targeted by a hitman known as “The Father” in The Night Agent. The hitman was tasked with silencing Mike, as well as anyone else who was getting too close to the truth, including Isabel and Jay. Mike’s death was particularly heartbreaking; he was poisoned at a bar, but it was made to look like he died from a common medical issue.

Catherin Weaver

The Night Agent Season 3, Episode 2

Catherine Weaver’s death in season 3 of The Night Agent adds to the show’s pattern of tragic losses. Though she and Peter had a difficult relationship in season 2, they’d become close by the start of season 3. She was killed when a bomb exploded in a decoy car used by Jacob Monroe, just as she was trying to arrest the Broker. Peter felt responsible for her death.

Vernon Tyvek

The Night Agent Season 3, Episode 3

Isabel and Mike had learned that Vernon Tyvek, a former compliance officer, had approved the suspicious activity reports that caused problems for Jay. Tyvek was unwilling to share much information, knowing it could put him at risk. Ultimately, his silence couldn’t protect him – he was assassinated by The Father, acting on Freya Myers’ orders from Walcott Capitol.

Brian Mott

The Night Agent Season 3, Episode 3

In season 3 of The Night Agent, Brian Mott was the White House caterer. During episode 3, it initially appeared he tried to attack First Lady Jenny Hagan with a gun, resulting in Chelsea Arrington shooting him. However, Chelsea discovered Mott wasn’t actually armed as Jenny had stated, prompting her to investigate further. It was revealed that Mott was secretly assisting Jenny in leaking the President’s daily briefing to Jacob Monroe. When Jenny decided to end the leaks, Mott became confrontational, but not to the extent that justified a fatal response.

The Night Agent Season 3, Episode 4

Peter and Isabel found out that US Senator Lansing had donated to the “Heroes for Healing” charity, which was secretly used to send money to Zapata. Walcott Capital Bank helped make these transactions possible. When Isabel began aggressively questioning Lansing, a man named Frather intervened, seemingly on Freya’s instructions. Shortly before Lansing could reveal any important information, he was shot and killed.

The Son’s Biological Parents

The Night Agent Season 3, Episode 6

Throughout season 3 of The Night Agent, the identities of the Father and Son remain a secret – we never even learn their names. The show reveals that the Son isn’t biologically related to the Father. Instead, he was originally the child of one of the Father’s targets. In a flashback, the Father poisons a couple’s home, but discovers their baby unharmed in another room and decides to raise him as his own.

The Night Agent Season 3, Episode 6

Jacob Monroe shouldn’t have confronted Freya Myers about her pursuit of his daughter, Isabel. As a result, Freya ordered a man named Father to go to Monroe’s house and forcibly remove Isabel from the situation. Isabel manages to survive the ordeal, but the security team protecting her and her father are not so lucky.

The Night Agent Season 3, Episode 7

In season 3, episode 7 of The Night Agent, a flashback reveals Jacob Monroe’s past, showing how he became the dangerous figure known as the Broker and Isabel’s father. The episode shows Monroe wasn’t always evil; he was once in love with a woman named Sofia, from Mexico City. When arms dealer Raul Zapata suspected someone was leaking information to the FBI, he wrongly accused Sofia, not Monroe. Zapata framed Sofia, leading to her imprisonment, where she died soon after giving birth to Isabel.

The Night Agent Season 3, Episode 8

Jacob Monroe tried desperately to make things right and win back his daughter, but she wouldn’t forgive him. He had a potential path to redemption by handing over sensitive information, but it was never realized. President Hagan, fearing Monroe would reveal his role in a past election, ordered him to be eliminated. She contacted Adam, who killed Monroe before he could surrender to the FBI.

LSF Members

The Night Agent Season 3, Episode 9

Thanks to Jay, Peter discovered Zapata and the LSF’s plot for upcoming terrorist attacks. They traced the bombs to a shipping company funded through illegal transactions at Walcott Capital Bank and intervened. Although the truck carrying explosives was sunk, the resulting confrontation and explosion killed several LSF members.

Raul Zapata

The Night Agent Season 3, Episode 9

Jacob Monroe spent his life determined to find and kill Raul Zapata. Although he didn’t live to see it happen, he helped make it possible. In episode 8, Monroe persuaded David Hutson, a supporter of the Heroes for Healing charity, to reveal Zapata’s location. That information eventually reached the president, who authorized the operation that led to Zapata’s capture.

The President’s Night Action Assassins

The Night Agent Season 3, Episode 10

President Hagan put several former military friends, including Adam, on a special team called Night Action. This meant he had a group of devoted operatives who would follow any order, no matter how dangerous, without hesitation. When Isabel, Peter, Chelsea, and Freya got close to exposing President Hagan’s hidden secrets, he ordered his entire team to eliminate them. This sparked a chaotic and violent confrontation as Peter tried to get Freya to Isabel, hoping she could reveal the truth. They eventually succeeded, but not without casualties among the President’s agents.

Freya Myers

The Night Agent Season 3, Episode 10

Freya Myers was a particularly villainous character in season 3 of The Night Agent, but her actions were key to the president’s removal from power. While the information she gave the FBI bought her some temporary freedom, she made a critical error by threatening those close to The Father. He predictably wouldn’t tolerate that. The final scene with Freya shows her about to drink the same poison that was used to kill Mike Fonseca.
