Warframe, the popular free-to-play sci-fi action game, is now available on the Google Play Store for Android devices. Players take on the role of the Tenno, ancient warriors battling across a vast and growing universe. A key feature is cross-platform play and save functionality, letting Android users team up and continue their progress with players on iOS, PlayStation, Xbox, PC, Nintendo Switch, and the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. It’s known for having a lively and friendly online community.
Warframe is a fast-paced, action-packed game celebrated for its immersive story missions and extensive customization options. Over the past decade, it’s grown into a popular game with over 85 million players. Starting as an open beta with limited content – just one environment and four playable characters – it has expanded to feature 20 unique planets, including four large open worlds, over 30 story quests, and almost 65 different playable characters available now.
Warframe is now available on Android, letting both new and experienced players explore its expansive universe and the latest updates, like The Old Peace. Join millions of players on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, iOS, and Nintendo Switch for seamless adventures across the Origin System, with the convenience of cross-platform saves and gameplay.
Digital Extremes President Sheldon Carter shared that bringing Warframe to Android has been a long-standing goal. This year marks a major achievement for both players and the development team. They’re excited to welcome Android users to the complete cross-play experience, with Nintendo Switch 2 support coming soon. Warframe is known for its incredibly positive and welcoming community, which has helped create a game with something for everyone. Carter promises a big year and invites players to join the fun!
Digital Extremes is giving Android players special rewards! If you download and play Warframe on Android before March 4th, you’ll get the Cumulus Collection, which includes unique cosmetics for your weapons and armor, plus boosters to help you gather resources.
Warframe will work on Android phones and tablets that meet these requirements: a 64-bit ARM64 processor, Android version 12.0 or newer, and at least 4GB of RAM. You can find a list of compatible devices on the Google Play Store and more details on the Warframe Forums.
