Umamusume is adding one of horse racing’s biggest stars according to horse’s owner

The popular game Umamusume: Pretty Derby might be getting a major addition: Forever Young, one of the most famous racehorses of recent times. The owner of the champion hinted at this possibility in a recent statement.

I was so thrilled to see that Japanese superstar win the Saudi Cup again! It’s amazing – he’s really proving himself as one of the best horses racing right now, and it’s fantastic to see him getting so much recognition around the world.

Rumors have been circulating for months about a new character joining the game, and excitement increased when the official Umamusume social media accounts shared a shadowy image. The image included the date February 24, 2026 – a significant date as it’s both the birthday of the character Forever Young and the anniversary of the game’s initial release.

Now, owner Susumu Fujita has directly addressed those expectations.

Forever Young will get the Umamusume treatment

I was reading an interview with Fujita after Forever Young’s amazing win in Riyadh, and he let slip some huge news! Apparently, the horse will be joining the series – I’m so excited! It sounds like Forever Young is officially part of the franchise now.

I’m thrilled to announce that my song, “Forever Young,” will be featured in Umamusume! While I can’t share all the specifics just yet, this collaboration means a lot to me personally, and I’m excited for my music to be a part of the game.

I’m a huge fan of Forever Young! This horse, born in 2021 and trained by Yoshito Yahagi, has become a real star in Japan. It’s been amazing watching him win big races not just at home, but all over the world – especially those incredible victories in Saudi Arabia and the US. He’s really helped put Japanese dirt racing on the map, and it’s clear Japan is a force to be reckoned with thanks to horses like him.

Although Cygames hasn’t officially confirmed it, comments from Fujita indicate that the racehorse Forever Young will likely be added to the popular game Umamusume. This would be unusual, as it means a currently active racing star would be featured in the game.
