This week, February 16–20, 2026, Paramount+ offers five must-see shows, including both brand new originals and beloved classics from Showtime. As winter winds down, these highly-rated and popular series are sure to keep you entertained.
Paramount+ is currently streaming five fantastic series perfect for binge-watching: a couple of exciting spy thrillers, a highly-regarded modern Western, a classic gangster story, and a surprisingly good true-crime drama.
Central Intelligence: The Agency
If you enjoy spy thrillers, Central Intelligence: The Agency on Paramount+ is a great choice. Featuring a strong cast including Michael Fassbender and Richard Gere, the film tells a gripping and complicated story about a CIA agent haunted by his history.
Michael Fassbender stars as a CIA agent known as Martian. He’s abruptly called off a long-term undercover mission. Despite the risks to himself and national security, Martian jeopardizes his cover to stay in touch with a woman he’s fallen for, all while attempting to save a fellow agent who has been discovered and captured by the enemy.
Hell On Wheels
AMC’s Hell on Wheels is considered one of their strongest shows, arriving shortly after the success of series like Mad Men, Breaking Bad, and The Walking Dead. The Western drama ran for five seasons with a total of 57 episodes and received a high audience score of 89% on Rotten Tomatoes.
As a Western fan, I really got into Hell on Wheels. It starts with this ex-Confederate soldier who takes a job on the first transcontinental railroad, but it’s not about building a railway for him – he’s hunting down the men who murdered his family during the Civil War. The show takes you all over, from places like New York to the rugged landscapes of Utah, really capturing the feel of the Old West.
Brotherhood
The crime drama Brotherhood, which aired from 2006 to 2008, is a standout series from the 2000s that doesn’t get enough attention. Featuring Jason Clarke and Jason Isaacs, the show ran for three seasons with a total of 29 episodes and received a 79% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
Set in a close-knit Irish-American community in Providence, Rhode Island, Brotherhood follows two brothers, Michael and Tommy Caffee, who find themselves on opposing sides of the law. If you enjoyed The Departed, this series is definitely worth checking out.
Lioness
Lioness is a spy thriller created by Taylor Sheridan, and one of the original series he’s made for Paramount+. The show stars Academy Award winner Zoe Saldaña as Joe McNamara, a CIA agent who heads up a highly skilled team while also dealing with challenges in her personal life.
Originally known as Special Ops: Lioness, this action-packed series has two seasons with a total of 16 episodes. A third season is planned for release around 2026, making Lioness a standout show on Paramount+ and a great one to look forward to.
Waco
I just finished watching Waco on Paramount+, and it’s seriously gripping! It’s a true crime series with Taylor Kitsch and Michael Shannon, and it tells the story of the 1993 standoff between the FBI, ATF, and David Koresh’s group in Waco, Texas. It’s a newer show, but it feels really well-done and dives deep into everything that happened.
The series Waco was highly praised and nominated for 3 Emmy Awards, which led to its 2023 follow-up, Waco: The Aftermath. Both series are now streaming on Paramount+ and offer a compelling and unforgettable story with excellent acting, making them perfect for a binge-watching session.
