After more than six years of anticipation and nearly four years since the first gameplay reveal, Riot Games’ fighting game, 2XKO, is almost here. The current closed beta will conclude on October 7th, with early access launching immediately after.
When 2XKO first launches, it will have a “Season 0” event. This will be the game’s first season, featuring unique in-game events and rewards for players as they progress. Season 0 will also introduce a tenth playable champion, though Riot Games hasn’t revealed who that champion is yet.

Riot announced that 2026 will feature five in-game seasons, each bringing new events, rewards, and a new champion to play. Importantly, anything you earn during the closed beta test will continue to be yours when the game enters early access, and your progress in early access will carry over into each new season.
Riot Games announced that, alongside the early access launch, they’re launching a competitive program called First Impact. This program will support 22 community-run tournaments globally through 2025. Riot will provide prize money for each tournament, and winning duos will receive an additional bonus on top of the standard first-place prize. The first tournament will be 2 NICE KO at Evo France, taking place from October 10th to 12th.
2XKO will be available in early access for PC beginning October 7.
