Hatsune Miku collabs with 100-year-old Japanese knife maker

Hatsune Miku, the popular virtual singer, has partnered with a traditional Japanese knife maker to create a unique kitchen knife. The knife is made of blue titanium and is fully functional, adding an unusual item to Miku’s many collaborations.

Hatsune Miku is teaming up with Sumikama, a Japanese cutlery company that’s been crafting blades for over a century in a region renowned for its metalworking traditions.

Established in 1916, Sumikama is a renowned maker of high-quality, professional knives, and the Miku edition continues that tradition.

This full-size kitchen knife costs around $125 to $130 USD (¥19,800) and is both beautifully designed and incredibly sharp.

The Miku kitchen knife is 32cm long overall, with an 18cm blade. It features a blue titanium coating that helps keep it sharp and makes it last longer.

This tool is designed for both right- and left-handed people, and its handle is comfortable to hold no matter which hand you use.

The knife features special artwork of Hatsune Miku, making it perfect for both collectors and anyone who loves to cook.

The official Hatsune Miku cooking line includes more than just a knife! Fans can also buy a Miku-themed hand warmer, salad fork, and stainless steel curry plate, all decorated with artwork of the popular virtual singer.
