YouTuber’s fanbase raises $100K to help struggling woman reunite with her dog

Popular YouTuber and animal rescuer Lee Asher, with help from his followers, raised over $100,000 to help a woman get back her dog.

Lee founded The Asher House, a 240-acre animal sanctuary in Lebanon, Oregon. Describing it as a ‘fenced-in paradise,’ Lee provides a safe and free-roaming environment for rescued cats, dogs, and farm animals.

Asher House is very popular on social media, with millions of followers on platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. People tune in to see the cute animals who live there and learn about the rescue organization’s work.

On February 4, 2026, Lee posted a video on the Asher House YouTube channel featuring an interview with Tracy Wiggins. She had given up her dog, Dalia, to their animal sanctuary because she could no longer afford to care for her or provide a suitable home.

Tracy shared that she had to sell her house after her husband left and they divorced. She used the money to buy a fifth-wheel RV to live in, but she worries it’s too small for Dalia to be comfortable.

She only truly felt free and energetic when she was off-leash, either at a friend’s house or in a park.

Shortly after bringing Dalia to the sanctuary, Lee spoke with Tracy. He explained that he couldn’t bear to give Dalia to a new owner and instead, Dalia would stay at the sanctuary temporarily, until Tracy was able to care for her again.

To raise money quickly, Lee created a GoFundMe campaign. It has already collected more than $104,000 in just two days since the video went live.

“You’re doing the right thing,” he said, holding Tracy close in a heartfelt embrace. “I’m incredibly proud of you.”

Tracy intends to use the money to find a secure home for herself and Dalia, with enough space for their dog to play.

She admitted she’d never needed to ask for help, but was now doing so to try and save what mattered most to her: her daughter. She explained this on the GoFundMe page she created.

I’m incredibly grateful for your support, whether you’ve read my work, shared it with others, or made a donation. Your kindness means the world to me.
