Twitch streamer rushed to ER after trying to catch falling katana by the blade

Twitch streamer Bisscute required a trip to the emergency room after accidentally cutting tendons in her hand during a live broadcast. A katana she had displayed slipped from its scabbard and fell, causing the injury.

While giving her viewers a tour of decorations for her streaming background, Bisscute was holding a katana with a red sheath when it unexpectedly fell.

During a short clip from a Twitch stream that has since been removed, Bisscute tried to catch a falling sword by its blade.

A short online clip shows the woman grabbing a katana, immediately crying out in pain, and quickly leaving the room while holding her hand. The livestream ended soon after, and it’s unclear how badly she was hurt.

Bisscute updates fans after ER visit

Bisscute later told her fans on Discord that she had to go to the emergency room and had seriously injured her fingers.

She shared that she injured two tendons and requires surgery, likely next week. Currently, she’s waiting for a cast and some blood tests, but feels okay and isn’t overly concerned.

She explained that she injured her middle and ring fingers, and doctors decided she needed surgery to fix the torn tendons. Although the injury was serious, she let everyone know she was doing okay and recovering while waiting for treatment.

Later that day, Bisscute posted a photo on Instagram showing her arm in a cast. She wrote, “Back at work—thank goodness for painkillers and a strong will!”—implying she’d already gone back to work after the injury.
