Kai Cenat is still one of Twitch’s most-subscribed streamers despite not streaming at all

Even though Kai Cenat hasn’t streamed on Twitch for more than four months, he still maintains a large and active audience of nearly 40,000 subscribers.

Kai Cenat has quickly become one of Twitch’s most popular streamers, repeatedly setting new records for subscriber numbers. He was the first streamer to reach over 1 million subscribers, achieving this milestone during his Mafiathon 3 broadcast.

After the third and last Mafiathon finished in October, Kai stopped streaming on Twitch. He hasn’t been seen on any streams since, and some people even thought he might be done with creating content altogether.

Even though he’s stepped back from Twitch, the popular streamer has been hard at work on his clothing line, Vivet, and a private YouTube channel. Thankfully, his fans still support him despite the break.

Kai Cenat likely still making $150k despite Twitch hiatus

Kai is still one of the most popular streamers on Twitch, currently ranking among the top five in active subscribers. While they recently lost around 11,000 subscribers, they still have nearly 40,000, according to TwitchTracker data.

Although the specific amounts from each subscription level aren’t public, Kai is estimated to earn around $163,527 from Twitch this month, even though he hasn’t streamed since late October.

That’s a significant amount of money, but it’s just an approximate calculation of his potential Twitch earnings. This estimate assumes a 70/30 revenue split and that all his subscribers pay the standard $5.99 monthly fee.

He probably still has so many subscribers because people don’t want to lose the benefits they’ve earned through consistent subscriptions, and they value being part of his community. It’s also possible some people simply haven’t gotten around to canceling their subscriptions during his absence.

Even though Kai has said he’s done with Twitch, he’s also mentioned wanting to relaunch Streamer University this year. Therefore, it wouldn’t be shocking if he started streaming again soon.
