As a huge fan of Dread Delusion, I’m so excited to hear it’s coming to consoles! Lovely Hellplace and DreadXP are teaming up again, and it sounds like they’re really going all out. They’re planning releases for PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox One & Series X|S, and even the Nintendo Switch 2 in Spring 2026! If you’re like me and loved older RPGs like King’s Field and Morrowind, you’ll be right at home with this game. It’s got that classic feel with a beautiful, retro art style, and you can really build your character how you want. The best part? The console versions will include everything that’s been added to the Steam version so far – Hard Mode, customizing your airship, the Creature Island stuff… it’s all there! I can’t wait to explore this world on the go.
Dread Delusion is an open-world RPG that feels like a classic adventure from the early 2000s, with a unique retro visual style. Explore a vast and imaginative world filled with quests that have multiple endings, giving you plenty of freedom in how you play. You can solve problems with your intelligence and charm just as easily as with weapons and magic, and your choices truly matter. Build your character your way and find alternative solutions to challenges – talk to people, pick locks, or even delve into forbidden knowledge – combat isn’t always the answer!
You can play Dread Delusion on Steam right now. It will also be released on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox One and Series X|S in spring 2026.
