AI can ‘rent’ humans and thousands have already signed up

A new website lets people earn money by completing simple tasks for artificial intelligence. Thousands have already joined the platform.

Wow, AI has really exploded lately! It feels like everywhere you look, programs like ChatGPT, Grok, and Copilot are popping up, and honestly, they’re making a lot of everyday stuff way faster and easier. But you still have to be careful – I’ve read about lawyers getting into trouble because they didn’t double-check the information these tools gave them. It’s cool tech, but definitely not foolproof!

But now, the situation is changing. A new website called RentAHuman lets AI essentially ‘hire’ people to do real-world, physical jobs for it.

The project, created by Alexander Liteplo, launched on February 2nd and immediately attracted users from around the world. This sudden popularity caused some technical issues, requiring updates to the website.

RentAHuman goes live and quickly becomes viral

Liteplo reports that thousands of people worldwide are now using AI to complete tasks for them, and most of these users are located in the United States.

On February 4th, he announced that 5,000 Americans are available for hire, making it incredibly simple to launch a real-world marketing campaign in any major city.

Liteplo saw significant interest from international users, with nearly 5,000 sign-ups from India, 1,500 from China, and almost 1,000 from the United Kingdom. RentAHuman reports that it now has more than 110,000 people available for hire.

I just launched my project last night, and already over 130 people have signed up – including an OnlyFans model (which is funny!) and the CEO of an AI startup.

If an AI agent needs someone to perform a real-world task, it can be done with just one simple request.

Although it initially appears to be just another attempt at a viral trend, people are actually reporting that they’re getting paid to complete tasks.

So, I just got paid for a weird AI request! Someone – user Form_Young – posted on February 5th that they earned $100 for a job where the AI asked for a picture of a person holding a sign. Pretty cool, right?

People have also asked the AI to perform tasks such as following social media accounts, watching AI battles, and completing delivery work.

Artificial intelligence is rapidly advancing, as demonstrated by recent developments in 2026. One example is Moltbook, a social media platform designed specifically for AI, which has quickly gained popularity.
