Overwatch is planning to add a lot of new heroes in the next year, and players think they’ve figured out who one of them will be.
The recent Overwatch Spotlight event announced five new playable characters coming to the game. Domina, Emre, Mizuki, Anran, and the unique Jetpack Cat will all be available when Season 1 launches on February 10th.
Blizzard also hinted that ten heroes will be released by 2026. While the identities of five of those new characters weren’t officially revealed, the livestream included several clues about who they might be.
Now, fans think they’ve worked out exactly who one of the missing heroes is going to be — D.Mon.
OW players convinced D.Mon is coming in Season 4
If you’re not familiar with her, D.Mon first appeared in the 2018 animated short, ‘Shooting Star,’ which tells the story of D.Va’s past. D.Mon is a member of the Korean Army’s Mobile Exo-Force (MEKA) and fights alongside D.Va, piloting her own mech called Beast.
During the Spotlight stream, viewers noticed a character in the background operating a mech that looked a lot like D.Mon.
Fans spotted some exciting sneak peeks during the recent Overwatch livestream! A quick glimpse on a monitor appeared to show off future character skins and confirmed that D.Mon will be joining the hero roster soon. Can you identify anything else in the preview?

I was digging around on the official 2026 roadmap, and I think I spotted something cool. The outline of the hero coming in Season 4 looks like they’re wielding the same energy sword we’ve been seeing hints of! A Redditor named ‘rockoburger’ actually made a post pointing out all the similarities, and it’s pretty convincing.
Looks like D.Mon from MEKA will be the next Tank hero

Blizzard hasn’t officially said if the new hero is D.Mon, but it would fit with their current approach to Overwatch. Three of the five revealed heroes – Emre, Anran, and Domina – come directly from the game’s existing story and were previously featured in cinematics.
It appears Blizzard is expanding its game world by bringing back familiar characters and introducing new ones.
We expect to share more details before Season 4 launches around the end of summer 2026. In the meantime, there’s still lots to enjoy, like the upcoming Hello Kitty event!
