Stardew Valley still hides a mystery that hasn’t been discovered, and the game’s creator, ConcernedApe, doubts anyone will ever find it. But that just makes us want to try even harder!
It’s been ten years since Stardew Valley was first released, and the relaxing farming game has become a massive indie success. It’s sold tens of millions of copies and has a dedicated fanbase who are always excited for updates.
As ConcernedApe develops his new game, Haunted Chocolatier, he’s shared details about the upcoming 1.7 update for Stardew Valley. He recently revealed in an interview with IGN that he once began working on a complete sequel to Stardew Valley, and that’s not the only news he has to share.
ConcernedApe has revealed that a hidden mystery still exists within the game. Even after players have spent a huge amount of time exploring, one secret hasn’t been discovered, and the developer is essentially daring the community to find it.
Stardew Valley still has a secret no player has discovered
ConcernedApe recently told IGN that a hidden secret remains undiscovered in the game, and he doubts players will ever find it.
He wouldn’t reveal the details of the mystery, but the game developer offered some clues about where players might find answers.
I might share it eventually, but the thing about this secret is it’s a message hidden within the game that points to something which is no longer accurate.
“It was revealing a thing about… Do I want to reveal it or not? Well, that’s all I’ll say.”

ConcernedApe revealed how he managed to keep a secret hidden for so long, despite its elusiveness. He explained that because it wasn’t an item or a file within the game, data miners wouldn’t have been able to find it. He noted there are methods for concealing messages that are resistant to data mining techniques.
Secrets hidden within the code of a program are almost certain to be discovered because people can easily break down and examine the code. However, secrets concealed within things like artwork are much harder to find – people have to actually see the artwork to even have a chance of noticing them.
Pay close attention to decorations and everything around you when you start Stardew Valley next time. Even with these hints, the creator still doesn’t think it will be easily discovered.
“I feel like no one will ever find it, but I hope someone does. It’d be interesting.”
