NBC has removed the show from its broadcast schedule before it was set to return. The last six episodes don’t have a new airdate, suggesting the network may have cancelled the series.
Most of NBC’s regular shows will be taking a two-week break now that the 2026 Winter Olympics start this Friday. In addition, NBC is swapping out the show Brilliant Minds with The Voice: Battle of Champions on Mondays, starting February 23rd.
With six episodes left in Season 2 of Brilliant Minds, fans are likely getting worried about the lack of news regarding when the show will return.
Since its premiere, the TV show Brilliant Minds has been losing viewers. Season 2 has seen a significant drop in ratings. The premiere episode earned a 0.28 rating among adults aged 18-49 and attracted 3.67 million viewers. This is a considerable decrease from the season one finale, which received a 0.32 rating and 4.2 million viewers. Ratings have continued to fall with each new episode.
The current viewership numbers don’t include anyone watching on Peacock, the streaming service where new episodes of Brilliant Minds are available after they air on NBC. We likely won’t know if the show will be renewed until NBC announces its future plans in May.
