The film also stars Maria Bakalova, Marcin Dorociński, Lovell Adams-Gray, Clark Johnson, Alex Mallari Jr., Louis Cancelmi, and Alex Ozerov, alongside Kenneth Branagh and Ryan Reynolds.

Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley are directing and writing the new film. They’re a well-known duo, having previously collaborated on movies like Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, Vacation, and Game Night. They also co-wrote Spider-Man: Homecoming – Tom Holland’s first solo Spider-Man movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe – and Horrible Bosses. Currently, they’re also working on the next Star Trek movie.

In addition to acting in the movie, Reynolds is also a producer, working with Goldstein, Daley, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Don Granger, Ashley Fox, Johnny Pariseau, and Patrick Gooing.

This actor has worked with Apple TV before, appearing with Will Ferrell in the popular holiday movie Spirited. That film is one of Apple TV+’s most-watched titles and currently has a 70% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Before starring in Spirited, Ryan Reynolds had already appeared in popular films like The Proposal, Deadpool, Deadpool 2, Detective Pikachu, Free Guy, and The Adam Project. He later returned to his well-loved role as Deadpool in Deadpool & Wolverine, which earned over $1.3 billion worldwide.

Ryan Reynolds received a Golden Globe nomination and a Critics’ Choice Award for his performance in the first Deadpool movie. He also won two Emmy Awards for Welcome to Wrexham, his documentary series, in the category of Outstanding Unstructured Reality Program.

As a huge movie fan, I’ve always admired Kenneth Branagh’s work. He’s been a consistently brilliant actor and filmmaker for decades! I’ve seen him shine in so many iconic roles – from playing kings like Henry V and tackling Shakespeare like Much Ado About Nothing and Othello, to bringing classic monsters to life in Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein. And who could forget his time in the Harry Potter universe, or his fantastic portrayal of a complex figure like Marilyn Monroe in My Week with Marilyn? He’s also been in big action flicks like Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit and Dunkirk, plus he nailed the detective vibe in Murder on the Orient Express. And of course, his recent work in Oppenheimer is just phenomenal – a true testament to his talent.

Kenneth Branagh has directed many well-known works, including Much Ado About Nothing, Frankenstein, The Magic Flute, Thor, Cinderella, Murder on the Orient Express, Artemis Fowl, Death on the Nile, and A Haunting in Venice. He’s been nominated for several Academy Awards throughout his career and won his first Oscar in 2021 for Best Original Screenplay for the film Belfast.

The two actors are joining forces for a new action movie called Mayday, which Apple is releasing at an unspecified date.
