Costco Nikes are selling for thousands after secret release

Nike SB Dunks with a Costco design are selling for thousands of dollars online after unexpectedly appearing in a limited number of Costco locations.

Nike often partners with athletes and celebrities, but they also occasionally collaborate with other brands. Past examples include partnerships with Lego, Patta, and Louis Vuitton.

However, their latest partnership was unexpected: a collaboration with Kirkland Signature, Costco’s brand. This news sparked a lot of doubt among sneaker enthusiasts, many of whom believed it was a hoax. The idea of Nike branding a shoe with the Costco logo seemed unbelievable.

When the Costco version of the Nike SB Dunk Low Pro QS, called the Kirkland Signature, became available at the end of January, it quickly sold out, despite limited promotion.

StockX sellers have Nike Costco dunks up for thousands

These shoes were first available in only a few U.S. stores, meaning most people wanting a pair have had to buy them from resellers.

The shoes, which were originally priced at $135, are now being listed for thousands on StockX.

Prices for these items start around $600, but can vary greatly depending on the size. For example, a size 7 is currently listed for $4,500, and a size 13 for over $7,400. However, a size 9 recently sold for just $337. This shows a significant gap between what sellers are asking and what buyers are actually willing to pay.

Sneaker fans are saying Costco will soon restock the shoes, and make them available in even more locations.

If this happens, it could lower resale prices because there would be more pairs available. If you’re hoping to buy these sneakers, it might be worth waiting a bit longer.
