Okay, Scream fans, get ready! Scream 7 is actually coming out a day earlier than we thought, which is awesome news already! But even cooler, it’s going to be released in a way we’ve never seen before in any of the Scream movies. I’m so excited!
February 2026 promises to be a great month for horror fans! Movies released in January – like ‘Send Help’ and ‘Iron Lung’ – are still doing well in theaters, and two new films, ‘Whistle’ and ‘The Strangers Chapter 3’, are also hitting the big screen.
The next Scream movie, Scream 7, is finally on its way, and fans are excited! This time, the original screenwriter Kevin Williamson is directing, and Neve Campbell and Matthew Lillard are both returning to their iconic roles.
With the release of the new Scream trailer during the Super Bowl, we’ve learned the movie will now premiere a day earlier and will be shown in many large-format theaters.
Scream 7 screening in IMAX and releasing a day early

The next Scream movie, Scream 7, will be in theaters on February 27, 2026. For the first time, it will also be available in premium formats like IMAX, Dolby Cinema, and 4DX, as well as on large screens.
Fans of horror can see the movie a day before its official release, on February 26, 2026, at special opening night events at certain theaters.
Guests will also get a special, vintage-style print featuring Neve Campbell, inspired by the classic Scream movie poster.
