Henry Cavill Films Highlander Action Scene In New Set Video With Jeremy Irons

Henry Cavill is solidifying his reputation as a leading action star with his upcoming role in a new, highly anticipated project. Though he’s finished playing Superman for DC, he’s quickly moving on to another popular franchise.

A new video from the set of the upcoming Highlander reboot has surfaced, offering a better look at Henry Cavill in the lead role. The video also shows Cavill alongside Jeremy Irons, who he previously worked with in the DC Extended Universe. You can watch it below.

Video from the set of Highlander shows Henry Cavill riding a motorcycle near the Tower of London. The footage also depicts Cavill walking through city streets, and at one point, it appears he’s struck by a vehicle.

Henry Cavill’s new movie will not only feature Jeremy Irons as the antagonist in Highlander, but it will also bring him back together with Russell Crowe. Crowe previously played Jor-El, Superman’s father, alongside Cavill in the 2013 film Man of Steel.

Russell Crowe will play Juan Sánchez-Villalobos Ramírez, a mentor to Henry Cavill’s character, Connor MacLeod, in the upcoming Highlander film. Chad Stahelski is directing the movie, which is based on a screenplay by Kerry Williamson and Mike Finch.

The film will also reunite Dave Bautista and Karen Gillan, stars of the Guardians of the Galaxy movies, where they played Drax and Nebula. WWE wrestler Drew McIntyre will play the role of Angus MacLeod, who is Connor’s brother.

Marisa Abela and Djimon Hounsou will be joined in the new Highlander movie by Siobhán Cullen, Jun Jong-seo, Nassim Lyes, and Kevin McKidd, who have all been cast in roles.

Amazon MGM Studios’ Highlander has yet to set a release date.
