IKEA releases gigantic hot dog that makes Costco’s look small

Okay, so everyone knows Costco’s $1.50 hot dog is legendary – it’s the food court staple, right? But I’m hearing there’s a new contender trying to steal its title as the best deal around.

Hot dogs have long been a popular item at IKEA. While many customers enjoy exploring the store, a trip to the food court for a quick bite – whether it’s pizza or their famous meatballs – is also a common part of the IKEA experience.

IKEA has introduced a massive, half-meter-long hot dog – almost 20 inches! – which makes Costco’s popular $1.50 hot dog seem very small in comparison.

A social media post on January 30th announced a massive new snack: a half-meter-long hot dog. The post promised “more to love, more to enjoy.”

IKEA’s food court just entered the glizzy arms race

The sausage measures half a meter or just under 20 inches, extending well past the bun.

Honestly, when I first saw it, I thought I was at a ballgame, not a furniture store! It has that kind of sporty, casual vibe. But the really cool thing is, even with that look, it’s still surprisingly affordable.

Okay, so here’s the deal: this massive soft toy dog is awesome, but right now you can only find it in IKEA stores in the UAE, and it costs about $5.17. Sadly, there’s no news yet if it’s coming to the US, UK, or Canada – I’m really hoping it does, though!

Even though the new item is larger, IKEA is still keeping the price affordable. At a little over $5, it costs less than similar souvenirs you’d find at theme parks or sporting events.

We’ll have to wait and see how many hot dogs this new competitor can eat, and whether it can beat Costco’s famous $1.50 hot dog. Until then, it’s all just speculation.

This product and its price are incredibly popular – so much so that one customer spent months persuading his local store to let him have the food court sign! That’s true dedication.
