Under the Island takes place on the diverse Seashell Island, which features environments ranging from icy peaks to scorching deserts – and even walking pots! You can add it to your wishlist now on Steam, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox.

Top Hat Studios and Slime King Games are excited to announce that their 90s-inspired action-adventure RPG, Under The Island, will release on February 17th, 2026, at 11am EST / 8am PST / 3pm UTC. The game, featuring art by Simone Grünewald, formerly of Daedalic Entertainment, will be available on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Xbox consoles.
The game Under The Island takes place on the enigmatic Seashell Island, a world with diverse environments – from freezing peaks where cereal is mined, to lush villages and arid deserts inhabited by walking, talking pots (who aren’t very friendly!). Each unique area offers its own secrets, enemies, and obstacles, combined with familiar action-RPG gameplay. However, the game really focuses on letting players explore and discover things for themselves. You begin with a simple hockey stick, but you’ll gain new powers and abilities by finding treasures in dungeons and through minigames, exploring hidden areas, trading with the islanders, or… convincing the local wildlife to part with them.
In Under The Island, you’re free to explore and uncover all the world’s mysteries – both within its grandest landmarks and tucked away in hidden spots. You’ll have a variety of tools to help you, like a shovel, a trumpet, and even a bird! Use these to forge your own path, connect with fellow explorers, and search for valuable treasure.
