Fortnite intends to introduce new characters from other games in the coming months, as part of its ongoing strategy to boost the Epic Games Store.
Recently, two new characters were announced for the Battle Royale: Grace Ashcroft from Resident Evil Requiem and Kliff from Crimson Desert. If you purchase either of these games through the Epic Games Store, you’ll receive their corresponding character skins at no extra cost.
The game is adding two new playable characters, Kafka and Blade, from Honkai: Star Rail.
Okay, so it didn’t officially say who’s coming, but as a fan, I’m pretty sure we just got a huge hint! They used the word “trailblazing” – which is a really specific term from Honkai: Star Rail – and then showed perfect copies of their signature swords. Seriously, that basically confirms these two characters are joining the game, and I’m so hyped!
It will be fascinating to see how many video game characters are added to Fortnite as a result of this new push. Fortnite has featured characters like Lara Croft and Kratos before, but it seems Epic Games is now working harder to attract players from Steam to its own Epic Games Store.
