Deck-building roguelike RPG Chrono Ark: Deluxe Edition now available for Nintendo Switch

I’m so excited! Playism and AL FINE just released Chrono Ark: Deluxe Edition on Nintendo Switch! It’s a deck-building roguelike RPG, and it costs $39.99. Even better, there’s a 10% discount for the first two weeks if you grab it now.

Chrono Ark launched on PC (Steam) in May 2024, following a period of Early Access development. It’s a single-player RPG where you build a team of up to four characters and create a powerful card deck to win battles. Like other roguelikes, progress is reset when your team is defeated, but the developers at AL FINE promise that each playthrough will unlock new possibilities and options.

Game Overview

Long ago, when the world was engulfed in a black mist, the surviving humans escaped to the Ark.

Okay, so apparently the only way to fix everything is to find these things called Time Shades – they’re hidden somewhere – and then use them to get the Clock Tower working. Everyone says if we can get the Clock Tower going, it’ll bring peace back to the world. Fingers crossed it actually works!

Lucy wakes up in a strange and unsettling place under the Ark, with no recollection of who she is or how she got there, except for a persistent and mysterious command: “Activate the Clock Tower.”

She teams up with her friends to find the mysterious Time Shades. Gather a diverse group of companions, create a powerful team with complementary skills, and rescue the Twisted World!

What’s in the Deluxe Edition?

The Chrono Ark Deluxe Edition on Nintendo Switch comes with both DLC packs – “Summer Twilight” and “High Roller” – that are also available for the PC version on Steam.

The update also includes enhancements to how text appears throughout the game, making it easier to read in all languages. This applies to everything from conversations and tutorials to menus and other on-screen elements.

Characters

Get to know your one-of-a-kind allies who will adventure with you! Use each character’s special abilities to win every fight!

Hein

Hein is a powerful warrior fueled by intense hatred for the Church of Pharos. Though incredibly resilient and capable of defeating many enemies at once, he struggles with uncontrollable madness.

Miss Chain

Miss Chain enjoys causing destruction, taking apart anything she finds interesting with fire and blades. She joined the Investigation Team just to create havoc in the Twisted Land, and she prefers to do it with a custom-built, fiery chainsaw.

Pressel

Pressel is a dedicated priestess with unwavering faith, and she joined the Investigation Team to cleanse the corrupted Twisted Land. She provides vital support to the team through powerful healing and assistance.

Joey

Joey is a brilliant chemist who used to design specialized equipment at a research lab. Becoming discouraged with the slow pace of his work, he joined the investigation of the Twisted Land. He’s able to support his teammates and hinder opponents using a variety of helpful and harmful effects.

Azar

Azar is a natural leader because he remains calm and reacts quickly under pressure, making him a valuable asset to the Investigation Team.

During battle, he uses his Illusion Swords in a series of fast, powerful, and diverse attack combinations.

Ironheart

Ironheart leads a group of mercenaries available for hire. While they claim to be neutral, they’re currently working with the Investigation Team to find and restore the Time Shade. In combat, Ironheart acts as a tough defender, shielding his allies. Uniquely, he can turn healing spells meant for him into powerful attacks against his enemies.
