The developers behind Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era consistently update their game with fresh content. Recently, they announced a new playable faction, and now they’ve delivered a highly requested feature that players have been eager to see for years.
Spectator Mode
The next version of *Heroes of Might and Magic* will include a Spectator Mode, letting you watch games as they happen. This feature will be great for both casual players and competitive tournaments.
Spectator Mode will give you a much clearer view of what’s happening in a match with lots of helpful features. You’ll be able to remove the ‘fog of war’ to see the entire map, automatically follow a specific player, and even show the map grid or area limits. As a spectator, you’ll have access to key information like each player’s resources, experience, skills, and items. You can also check out a player’s castle whenever you want.
The tool will be ready to use as soon as Early Access begins, and the Unfrozen team intends to refine it based on what players think. While most of the community is happy with the new feature, some are worried that the developers are prioritizing multiplayer and potentially neglecting players who prefer to play alone.
I’m concerned that the game is focusing too much on multiplayer features when it’s primarily designed for a single player experience.
Can we focus more on single player.
This is a great idea, but let’s not make the single-player experience suffer just to achieve perfect balance in multiplayer. Focusing too much on multiplayer balance can sometimes lead to a bland and uninteresting single-player game.
