‘For All Mankind’ Sets Season 5 Release Date Alongside Trailer and Photos

Apple TV has announced that Season 5 of the popular space drama For All Mankind will premiere on March 27th. A new episode will be released every Friday until May 29th. Fans have been waiting since January 2024 for the new season, and now Apple TV has shared a first look at what’s in store.

The fourth season of For All Mankind ended with a nine-year leap forward in time, from 2003 to 2012, creating a more modern alternate timeline and paving the way for significant events on Mars. Season 5 will continue the story after the daring asteroid heist, showing how the Martian colony, Happy Valley, has flourished into a bustling city of thousands. However, as Earth’s nations attempt to establish rules and control on Mars, tensions are rising between the colonists and those back on Earth.

The latest trailer for For All Mankind Season 5 introduces Sean Kaufman (The Summer I Turned Pretty) as a central character, representing a new generation in the show. He plays Alex Poletov Baldwin, the son of Kelly Baldwin and grandson of Ed Baldwin. The trailer shows Alex, dressed as an astronaut, exploring the surface of Mars on a futuristic dirt bike. Ed Baldwin’s voiceover hints at Alex’s crucial role, stating, “Everything that’s happened has led to this moment.” He continues, telling Alex that he’s capable of extraordinary things and that the future rests on his shoulders.
