One Piece launches surprise crossover with US college basketball

One Piece, the popular anime series, is teaming up with US college basketball in a surprising new collaboration.

The ‘One Piece’ and US college basketball collaboration, called the US Voyage, begins on January 23rd and will continue until early March.

The partnership will bring the world of One Piece to life in arenas with special decorations and displays. Fans can also look forward to themed events within the game itself, exclusive freebies, and performances of the famous One Piece opening theme, “We Are,” by live marching bands.

One Piece x college basketball collab

The collaboration will feature special appearances at home games for the Gonzaga Bulldogs, Rutgers Scarlet Knights, St. John’s Red Storm, Houston Cougars, and Illinois Fighting Illini.

At the special One Piece-themed games, attendees will receive free T-shirts, collectible posters, and unique promo cards for the One Piece Card Game. The events will also feature entertainment like halftime shows and music inspired by the anime.

So, each school we’re hitting on the tour is going to put its own spin on things with a One Piece-themed night. It’s cool because it means no two stops will be exactly the same – each one will have a unique vibe!

This isn’t the first time One Piece has teamed up with American sports. The series has collaborated with the NBA before, holding themed nights and creating special promotions with teams like the Los Angeles Lakers. They’ve also released officially licensed One Piece merchandise featuring the Straw Hat crew in basketball uniforms.
