YouTuber Tayta Games dies from colon cancer at 21

La’tayvia Deshay Ransom, a young gaming creator who went by Tayta Games online, has sadly passed away at the age of 21 after battling colon cancer.

Tayta’s father announced her passing on Facebook on September 17th, explaining that her cancer had spread to her liver. He also shared that she would have celebrated her 22nd birthday just nine days after her death.

He shared the heartbreaking news that his oldest daughter had passed away this morning. She had been battling colon cancer that had spread to her liver. His daughter, La’tayvia Deshay Ransom, was just 21 years old and would have turned 22 in nine days. He had been spending around the clock at the hospital for the past week, hoping for a positive outcome. He cherished their conversations, which always filled him with hope, and is devastated by her loss.

Her brothers posted a video to Tayta’s YouTube channel revealing the news, as well.

Tributes pour in

Tayta became popular online, gaining over a million followers on Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok. She was known for her funny reactions while playing games like Minecraft, Dress to Impress, and scary indie games. She also bravely shared her experiences with cancer, first revealing her diagnosis last year and continuing to update her followers about her treatment.

She recently shared with her fans in the comments of her latest YouTube video that she’s been having a tough time with the side effects of chemotherapy. She explained that she hasn’t been able to post as much because she’s dealing with nerve damage, also known as peripheral neuropathy, and misses connecting with her audience.

Tayta’s twin brother also shared a heartfelt message on Instagram, describing her as the “sweetest” and “funniest” person he knew. He wrote that he looked forward to exploring other dimensions with her through astral projection, and promised to take care of things while she was gone, calling her his “immortal warrior” and saying he’d see her soon.
