A first glimpse of Wonder Man’s costume for the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is the 15th superhero suit unveiled for Phase 6. The Disney+ series Wonder Man will debut on January 27th and is being described as the MCU’s most self-aware project yet. Yaya Abdul-Mateen II, known for his role in Aquaman, will play Simon Williams, an actor cast as Wonder Man in a reboot of the classic superhero story. Eventually, Williams will actually become the hero himself.
With its Disney+ debut just weeks away, Marvel Studios has given fans their first glimpse of Yaya Abdul-Mateen II as Wonder Man in costume. This reveal marks the 15th official superhero suit to be showcased as part of Phase 6 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
It’s unclear if the new suit worn by Williams is for the upcoming Wonder Man movie or if he’s actually using it as a superhero. The suit is a redesigned version of the original Wonder Man costume, previously worn by actor Brent Willard in the original film, which director Von Kovak is now remaking.
