During a recent appearance, Seth Rogen hinted at exciting developments for Season 2 of the critically acclaimed series. He revealed that events from the day and leading up to it have been incorporated into the new season’s storyline, and filming is set to begin within the week. Rogen also celebrated success at the Golden Globes, where The Studio, which premiered on Apple TV in March 2025, continued to win awards, and he personally took home the award for Best Actor in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy.
It’s not surprising that Seth Rogen intends to feature the Golden Globes in the second season of his show. The eighth episode of the first season was actually named after the awards ceremony, and Rogen jokingly pointed out to reporters that they had filmed there the previous year.
The series, The Studio, follows a creative professional struggling to meet the demands of a big corporation while still making work he’s proud of. The cast also includes Catherine O’Hara, Ike Barinholtz, Chase Sui Wonders, and Kathryn Hahn.
The show’s first season received a lot of positive attention for its funny and insightful take on the movie business. It also featured some great appearances by well-known actors playing themselves, including Jean Smart from Hacks, Zack Snyder, Martin Scorsese, and Charlize Theron.
Rogen shared that many people approached him tonight, eager to be on their show, even offering to do whatever it takes. He jokingly mentioned that Tom Rothman, the head of Sony, and other studio executives were particularly interested. He said Ted Sarandos had already let the cat out of the bag, but they managed to convince a few people to join them tonight, calling the event a great opportunity to find new talent.
After receiving positive reviews in its first season, the show was renewed for a second season in May 2025. Currently, there’s no confirmed date for when it will be released.
