Amazon is currently offering a discount on the Tom and Jerry: The Golden Era Anthology. The Blu-ray collection, which includes over 100 classic cartoons featuring Tom and Jerry, is available for $46.79, down from $60. It’s a six-disc set and also comes with extra features and a sketchbook. A DVD version is also available for $46.79 (originally $55), but it doesn’t include the bonus disc or sketchbook.
To mark 85 years of Tom and Jerry, Warner Bros. released The Golden Era Anthology on December 2nd. The collection was highly anticipated and quickly became a top seller after preorders started in September. While the suggested retail price is $60, Amazon has sold it for up to $66.49. A previous Amazon deal offered the collection for $46.79 in mid-December, but that price was only available for a short time.

The Golden Era Anthology features two restored Tom and Jerry cartoons – “Mouse Cleaning” and “Casanova Cat” – that hadn’t been available on home video in the US before. These episodes are known for containing racially insensitive content, which led to their removal from a planned release on Tom and Jerry: The Golden Collection Volume Two. Warner Archive has included similar, older cartoons in other releases, but always with a disclaimer explaining the shorts’ historical context and problematic jokes.
The Golden Era Anthology is the largest Tom and Jerry Blu-ray collection released so far, but Warner Bros. has created many other comprehensive DVD and Blu-ray sets over time. Below, you’ll find information on some recent releases and beloved older collections. We’ve also put together a Tom and Jerry store on Amazon with even more Blu-ray and DVD options.
Fans will love the recent release of Tom and Jerry: The Complete Cinemascope Cartoon Collection. This Blu-ray set, released in February 2025, includes all 23 of Tom and Jerry’s Cinemascope cartoons – those are the ones filmed in widescreen – plus three extra cartoons. These widescreen adventures are beautifully animated and contain some of the most hilarious moments ever created for Tom and Jerry.
Okay, so I finally upgraded to the Blu-ray versions of these classic cartoons, and wow, the difference is huge! The colors are so much brighter and richer than I remember from the old VHS tapes and even the DVDs. Plus, the sound is way better – it really makes a difference. This set also includes three extra Tom and Jerry cartoons that I hadn’t seen before – ‘Good Will to Men’ from 1955, ‘Give and Tyke’ from 1957, and ‘Scat Cats’ from 1957. Definitely worth the upgrade if you’re a fan!
In 2025, Warner Bros. released several Tom and Jerry Blu-rays and DVDs. These included a low-cost 85th Anniversary Kids Collection on DVD, available for just $8 at Amazon, featuring 3.5 hours of classic cartoons. They also re-released the film Tom and Jerry Meet Sherlock Holmes on Blu-ray for $23.49 on Amazon.
We also suggest the Tom and Jerry: The Spotlight Collection DVD set, which includes three volumes and four discs. It features 112 classic cartoons, from the very first Tom and Jerry short (when Tom was known as Jasper) to later favorites, and is currently available for just $14.58 (originally $38). While this version doesn’t include audio commentary, it still offers plenty of bonus content like behind-the-scenes looks, documentaries, and extra scenes.
Warner Archive Collection: Upcoming Releases
The Warner Archive Collection is adding several classic cartoon sets in January. You can now preorder the Blu-ray release of “The Woody Woodpecker & Friends Golden Age Collection” for $25, with shipping starting January 20. Fans of “The Flintstones” can preorder the complete series of “The New Fred and Barney Show” for $27.33, which will be released on January 27.
Peanuts 75th Anniversary Blu-ray Box Set & Deluxe Book

In 2025, the beloved Peanuts comic strip will mark its 75th anniversary. To celebrate, several Peanuts collections have been released, including the “Peanuts: 75th Anniversary Ultimate TV Specials Collection” on Blu-ray. Currently on sale at Amazon for $71 (originally $85), this set includes 40 remastered animated specials from 1965 to 2011, even the very first Peanuts cartoon! It’s presented in 1080p high definition and comes with a 28-page booklet filled with artwork and behind-the-scenes information. A DVD version, “Peanuts: Ultimate TV Specials Collection,” is also available for $55.33 (originally $65).
A special collection of Peanuts TV episodes was released alongside a beautiful hardcover book, The Essential Peanuts, which honors Charles Schulz’s famous comic strip. This 336-page book comes in a slipcase and includes extras like eight art prints, five vinyl stickers, eight postcards, and an iron-on patch, plus a comic book.
