During a performance of the Indiana Jones stunt show at Walt Disney World, a performer was hurt when a large prop boulder unexpectedly came loose and hit them while they were on stage.
I was watching the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular recently, and something pretty scary happened! Right at the beginning, there’s this huge boulder roll as part of the show, but it actually went off course. I saw a video online, and it rolled towards where the audience was sitting! It was definitely a close call.
During the show, a performer tried to stop a rolling boulder and was struck by it. They fell and seemed to hit their head, with people watching reporting they were bleeding. Fortunately, the performer was able to walk away on their own after the show was paused.
Show halted as video circulates online
Video of the accident rapidly circulated on social media sites like TikTok and Reddit, quickly bringing attention to what happened. Witnesses said the show stopped right away, and park employees immediately worked to make the stage area safe.

As a huge Indiana Jones fan, I have to say the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular at Disney World is amazing! It’s a live show all about the incredible stunts and special effects from the movies. Everyone remembers the giant rolling boulder scene, and it’s been a part of the show for years – it’s seriously iconic and still gets me every time!
Disney has stated, via Scott Gustin on X, that their safety team is looking into the incident, and the staff member who was hurt received immediate medical attention and is now recovering.
