YouTuber JerryRigEverything has declared Google’s Pixel 10 Pro Fold the least durable phone of 2025. This comes after the phone dramatically failed a durability test and exploded on camera last October.
During JerryRigEverything’s 2025 durability awards – which recognize both the toughest and most fragile phones tested throughout the year – the Pixel 10 Pro Fold was unfortunately highlighted. It received the award due to a major failure during a bend test.
According to one expert, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold is likely to be the least reliable smartphone of 2025. While he usually doesn’t expect folding phones to be perfectly durable, Samsung’s models have proven more robust. Google’s folding phones, however, have consistently failed in the same area for the past three years, and this year’s version even suffered a catastrophic failure, exploding in some instances.
Look, as someone who uses a lot of Google products, especially for gaming, it’s really concerning if they’re aware of a flaw in their hardware or software and just… ignore it. That’s a pretty major problem, honestly, and it makes you lose trust.

Pixel 10 Pro Fold failed mid-test on camera
The Pixel 10 Pro Fold gained unwanted attention in October after it unexpectedly caught fire during a routine durability test. The device ignited while being bent, immediately halting the evaluation.
The phone broke while being bent, and a fire started right after. Luckily, no one was hurt, and the whole thing was filmed.
