The highly anticipated sequel to ’28 Years Later,’ titled ‘The Bone Temple,’ is almost here, and a recent photo of Ralph Fiennes in the film has reminded many people of his role in the ‘Harry Potter’ series.
Released in 2025, ’28 Years Later’ was a standout film, and its sequel, ‘The Bone Temple,’ marks the first big movie release of 2026.
The new film, written by Alex Garland and directed by Nia DaCosta, seems to focus on Spike’s experiences with a questionable group known as The Jimmys.
The official description of the movie also reveals that Ralph Fiennes’ character, Dr. Ian Kelson, will enter a surprising relationship, one that could have huge global repercussions. However, recent images of Kelson have prompted the same joke from everyone who’s seen them…
Ralph Fiennes looks like Voldemort in new 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple

A new image from the film 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple was recently released on ScreenRant, showing Dr. Kelson in the middle of a ritual.
Kelson appears unwell, with pale skin, dark circles under his eyes, and a dark mark on his chest. Many viewers have noticed he looks similar to Ralph Fiennes’ character from the Harry Potter films, drawing comparisons between the two.
One person commented that he’s starting to resemble Voldemort again, while another said he looks more like the character now than he did while originally playing him.

People have been noticing the actor’s lack of hair, with one person on Twitter joking about his history of playing bald characters – from Harry Potter’s Voldemort to Coriolanus Snow, and now in his current role. Another commenter playfully suggested he was destined to play menacing, hairless villains, even saying he agreed to the role as soon as he realized it would involve being bald.
One fan commented that Ralph Fiennes’ portrayal of Voldemort is even more frightening than his work in the Harry Potter films, suggesting the character would have been truly terrifying if the movies hadn’t been aimed at a younger audience.
It’s still unclear what role Dr. Kelson will play in the story of The Bone Temple. However, a new romantic connection hinted at – involving an Alpha he refers to as Samson – has led fans to a disturbing theory. They believe Kelson’s experiments on this particular Infected could be used to create even more powerful zombies, potentially causing a worldwide outbreak in the next installment, 28 Years Later 3.
