Tonight marks the release of the final season of Stranger Things on Netflix, and I’m preparing for what promises to be a deeply moving and unforgettable conclusion. Interestingly, even after filming wrapped, Joe Keery and the rest of the cast decided to revisit the Creel House, which seems to draw a lot of curious and unwelcome attention.
The Creel House was first shown at the end of Stranger Things Season 4, Part 1, and played a key role in revealing Vecna’s backstory. The house was the site of a terrible tragedy, where a young Henry Creel used his powers to kill his mother and sister, ultimately transforming into the monster that haunts the Upside Down.
Despite the mansion’s reputation for being haunted, Joe Keery and the cast of Stranger Things decided to check it out. It’s funny to see that it attracts a lot of unwanted visitors, judging by the sign posted on the lawn in the second picture.

In a recent photo of the cast hanging out in front of the run-down Creel House from 1986, fans have spotted a small detail: a “no soliciting/loitering” sign. It’s unclear if this sign is part of the show’s setting – a warning to stay away from the house in Hawkins – or if it’s there because the filming location is attracting unwanted attention.
I have to say, the cast of this 2025 Netflix release really delivered, and I’m already picturing The Creel House as its own haunted maze at Halloween Horror Nights next year! Honestly, the house is unsettling whether it’s pristine or falling apart. All those windows… they just feel like eyes watching you. And for me, the way it’s boarded up in the 1986 scenes? It gives me serious bone-chilling vibes.
It’s heartwarming to see Joe Keery and the rest of the cast still spending time together even though their popular Netflix show has finished. Keery shared that filming the last season was a very emotional experience, especially on the final day, but he emphasized that he considers his co-stars, who he’s known for a significant part of his life, to be like family.
The Creel House might be a scary place that people avoid, but the friends in Stranger Things are loyal and will visit anyway. It shows that strong friendships can make even a dangerous or forbidden place seem exciting.
The final episodes of Stranger Things Season 4, which conclude the series, are now available on Netflix. You can also see them in movie theaters on December 31st and January 1st.
