Everyone appreciates a friend, and that’s really true in the game Satisfactory, where you’re constantly battling both the environment and the demands of industry. Luckily, the adorable Lizard Doggo is there to offer some companionship. Even if you enjoy playing solo, it’s still a good idea to keep a few Lizard Doggos around!
Lizard Doggos are small, friendly lizards that look a bit like dogs. They’re about the size of a Beagle, but instead of fur, they have scales and a protective armored back. If you approach them too quickly, they’ll simply run away – they’re completely harmless otherwise.
Want to befriend a Lizard Doggo? You’ll need some Paleberries, which look like raspberries and grow everywhere. If you’re using Blade Runners, take them off first. Then, slow down your movement speed (press Shift). Find a Doggo and wait for it to notice you and look directly at you. When it does, open your inventory and drop a Paleberry in front of it. Let it come and eat the berry without you moving. Once it’s finished, slowly walk towards the Doggo. If you see a message asking if you want to pet it (press E), you’ve succeeded – congratulations, you have a new friend!

Lizard Doggos are quite slow and not very bright, so they aren’t ideal companions for adventures. They struggle to keep up with anything faster than a leisurely walk and are vulnerable to dangers like poison and aggressive animals. Interestingly, they are immune to radiation, but they have a habit of accidentally wandering off cliffs!
To keep them safe, it’s best to bring them home and build a fenced-in area. Make sure the area has a solid base, or they might vanish. You can get creative with the design and cover the base with grass so it looks natural, while still preventing them from disappearing. Since they can’t jump or climb much – their maximum step height is only about a meter – you don’t need very high fences.
Now that you have a Doggo and a Doggo Park, be sure to check in regularly! Each Doggo has a small inventory and will randomly produce one of 46 different items, like Hog Remains, Power Slugs, or even Nuclear Waste. If you have a lot of Doggos, you can collect quite a few items quickly, and some of them are very rare. Currently, you’ll need to collect these items manually – there’s no automatic farming or breeding for Lizard Doggos yet – but finding a rare Purple Power Slug or Nuke Nobelisk is definitely a great find!
