That’s why The Pitt and the people involved have already won a bunch of Emmy Awards, and I think it deserves even more!
Noah Wyle and Katherine LaNasa each won an Emmy for their acting, while The Pitt received the award for Outstanding Drama Series. The show also earned two additional Creative Arts Emmys, bringing its total Emmy wins to two out of thirteen nominations.
Critics and viewers alike are praising The Pitt. Rotten Tomatoes reports a 95% approval rating from critics and an 86% audience score, earning it a ‘Certified Fresh’ designation for Season 1. Noah Wyle first became well-known for his work on the hit medical drama ER, where he played Dr. Doug Ross. Now, he’s teaming up with some of the same people from ER for his new show, The Pitt. R. Scott Gemmill created The Pitt, and he and executive producer John Wells previously worked with Wyle on ER.
George Clooney and Julianna Margulies (Wyle) worked together on the TV show ER, and people have often asked Clooney about returning. He said he’d be happy to make an appearance anytime. However, when asked if he’d discussed it with Margulies, Clooney explained he hasn’t brought it up because he doesn’t want to interfere with her show – it’s her project, and he wants to respect that.
