It looks like 2026 is going to be huge, with not only massive movies like Avengers: Doomsday and Odyssey on the way, but also a lot of darker, more realistic superhero stories. There’s going to be plenty of intense action and projects directly inspired by the comics – I can’t wait to see it all!

Daredevil: Born Again Season 2

The new series, launching in March 2026, will bring back Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock and Vincent D’Onofrio as the Kingpin (Wilson Fisk). The story continues directly after the first season, with Fisk now the mayor of New York and using his power to push his plans forward. Matt Murdock will have to build a team to fight against Fisk and his criminal activities. Krysten Ritter will also reprise her role as Jessica Jones in the show.

Invincible Season 4

Robert Kirkman, the creator of the show, recently told Collider that the next season will feature more of Omni-Man and a significant turning point for the character of Mark. After realizing in Season 3 that his approach to dealing with villains wasn’t working, Mark will be taking a darker path in Season 4, leading to major consequences. Kirkman expressed excitement for viewers to see how things unfold, though a release date hasn’t been announced yet.

Clayface

James Watkins directs this horror film about Matt Hagen, an up-and-coming actor played by Tom Rhys Harries. After a gangster damages his face, Matt undergoes a radical transformation – his body is rebuilt with clay. The movie is scheduled to be released on September 11, 2026.

The Boys Season 5

Season 5 of The Boys is coming on April 8, 2026, and promises even more intense violence, compelling drama, and thrilling action. The new season will center around Homelander tightening his control over America, though Butcher will be working against him. Butcher is fully committed to defeating Homelander and plans to use a virus that can kill superpowered individuals to do so.

The Punisher Special Presentation

Details about the new project, including when it will be released and what it’s about, haven’t been revealed yet. However, Nexus Point News previously shared a report from May by DanielRPK suggesting the story might feature a female villain named Ma Gnucci.

Lanterns & Creature Commandos Season 2

The upcoming HBO series, Lanterns, is scheduled to premiere in 2026. While it’s anticipated to be geared towards mature audiences, the official rating hasn’t been announced yet. The show will follow Lanterns Hal Jordan and John Stewart as they team up to investigate a murder that leads them into a web of dark secrets.

Creature Commandos Season 2’s release date isn’t confirmed, but it will debut sometime in 2026.
