IShowSpeed dominated YouTube Gaming in 2025, becoming the most-watched streamer by a significant margin. He was far ahead of Gaules, who came in second, and a group of three popular Japanese VTubers.
IShowSpeed has become a hugely popular online streamer, and his broadcasts while traveling often generate news stories around the world.
It’s no surprise he was named TopMob’s top streamer in 2025 and won Streamer of the Year. He spent the year traveling through China, breaking YouTube records and receiving positive attention from the Chinese government for showcasing the country. He then traveled across Europe, where places like Estonia publicly thanked him for helping to increase tourism.
Speed wasn’t just traveling; he also completed a Super Mario marathon alongside Kai Cenat and famously won a footrace against influencer Ashton Hall.
According to StreamsCharts, he amassed 64.1 million hours watched in 2025, putting him nearly 20 million hours ahead of CSGO commentator Alexandre ‘Gaules’ Borba Chiqueta, who recorded 45.2 million hours.
Rounding out the top 5? Three VTubers.

VTubers in wild race for YouTube rankings
IShowSpeed and Gaules are trailed by three Japanese VTubers: Miko, Pekora, and Kazuha.
The most obvious and compelling story centers around the competition between Pekora and Miko. Both are popular streamers with Hololive Production, and their numbers are very similar, making them strong contenders for the title of the year’s top female streamer.
Miko is currently the most-watched VTuber with 44.4 million hours, closely followed by Pekora at 42.8 million. Kazuha has 37.1 million hours watched, putting her in third place. While a clear gap separates the top three, the fourth-place VTuber is still well ahead of those in fifth and sixth.
They create content like many successful VTubers, focusing on engaging with their audience while playing popular games like GTA V and Minecraft, often through role-playing.

Completing the top 8 are MixiGaming, Typical Gamer (who saw a 121% increase in viewers this year), and BaianoTV. Set1awanade LoLzZz Gaming, who specialize in mobile esports, round out the list, focusing on the games Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and Battlegrounds Mobile India.
IShowSpeed tops more YouTube categories
To show how popular IShowSpeed is, he also had the highest average viewership, with 52,391 people watching his streams at the same time.
He also reached a peak of 487,700 viewers during a live stream from Peru, making it the second-highest viewership he’s ever had.
Only Mario Alfonso ‘DjMariiO’ Garrido, a popular creator known for his football content and long-time involvement with the EA Sports FC series, had more viewers, reaching a peak of 703,000.

So, get this – that record-breaking viewership wasn’t even from a regular gaming stream! It happened during a football tournament with a bunch of big YouTubers playing. It really shows how huge these events are becoming on the platform – when you get different communities colliding like that, it’s a game-changer.
Ninja barely made the top 10 for most-watched gaming broadcasts on YouTube, streaming a game of Fortnite while teaching his brother how to play.
Speed has a busy end to the year planned! He announced on December 21st that he’ll be traveling to 20 countries in Africa over 28 days, starting on December 29th.
