According to a recent rumor, Deadpool—played by Ryan Reynolds—could appear in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday movie. The story suggests he’ll team up with the X-Men to battle both the Avengers and the Fantastic Four.

A well-known source in the entertainment industry, MyTimetoShineHello, claims that Deadpool will appear in a future storyline involving Doomsday and a battle between the X-Men, the Avengers, and the Fantastic Four. This information was shared on X, formerly known as Twitter.

While this sounds promising, it’s currently just a rumor, so it’s best not to believe it completely. Fans will need to wait for Marvel Studios to officially confirm Deadpool’s involvement in the movie.

While it hasn’t been officially confirmed, Ryan Reynolds hinted at a possible appearance by Deadpool in the upcoming ‘Doomsday’ film earlier this year. In August, he posted a mysterious image on Instagram: the Avengers logo with an Anarchy symbol drawn over it. This quickly got fans wondering if he was subtly suggesting his character would be part of the movie.

Reynolds addressed rumors the following month in an interview with Collider. He explained that the image he’d posted on social media was actually a version of the flag used in the upcoming Deadpool & Wolverine movie, calling it his personal favorite. The new Avengers movie, titled Doomsday, is scheduled to come out on December 18, 2026. A first look at the film was just shown before screenings of Avatar: Fire and Ash, and it revealed that Chris Evans will be reprising his role as Steve Rogers.

Anthony and Joe Russo directed the film from Michael Waldron and Stephen McFeely’s screenplay.
