The newest Dragon Ball series, Dragon Ball: Daima, finished airing earlier this year and will be released on Blu-ray on March 3, 2026 – perfectly timed for Dragon Ball’s 40th anniversary! Dragon Ball: Daima takes place between the Majin Buu and God of Destruction storylines. The series follows Goku as he finds himself shrunk back to a child after a new Demon King named Gomah uses his powers. To regain his adult form, Goku ventures into the Demon Realm. Now much weaker, he dusts off his trusty Power Pole to help him overcome the challenges and battles ahead.
Dragon Ball: Daima proved popular with fans because it returned to the series’ roots, featured smooth animation, and finally resolved some long-running mysteries, creating an exciting viewing experience. The show’s 20 episodes told a complete, satisfying story. Sadly, this was the last Dragon Ball project Akira Toriyama worked on before his passing last year.
